THE PERFECT TREAT AFTER YOUR NIAGARA FALLS TOUR
Our walking tours are not a serious physical challenge, but while you’re on vacation visiting Niagara Falls you shouldn’t need much of an excuse to treat yourself. :)
Alongside Canadian staples like maple syrup and poutine is the famous Beavertail.
WHAT IS A BEAVERTAIL?
A beavertail is a Canadian dessert that's basically a piece of dough stretched out to look like a beaver’s tail, then deep-fried until golden and crispy.
After frying, it’s typically topped with all kinds of sweet things — like cinnamon sugar, chocolate, Nutella, maple butter, crushed candy, bananas, or even cheesecake spread.
It’s super popular at fairs, winter festivals, and tourist spots (especially in places like Niagara Falls). It’s kind of like a Canadian twist on a doughnut but flat and more customizable.
WHERE CAN YOU GET A BEAVERTAIL IN NIAGARA FALLS?
That’s simple, the best place to get a Beavertail in Niagara Falls is at BEAVERTAILS!
Conveniently located on Clifton Hill (4967 Clifton Hill), just a short walk from many hotels such as Sheraton Fallsview and the Travelodge, BeaverTails Niagara Falls is right in the thick of the action making it a popular spot for tourists and locals.

OUR BEAVERTAILS REVIEW
They say that no visit to Niagara Falls Canada is complete without a delicious BeaverTail, and our visit to BeaverTails on Mother’s Day was a lovely reminder of why that’s true!
We chose the Avalanche and the mEHple and had a hard time trying to decide which we liked better so it's a tie - both EXCELLENT.
They were a bit bigger than expected (pleasant surprise #1) and they tasted even better than they looked in the signs (pleasant surprise #2!)
We absolutely loved them. Tip: load up on napkins, they can get deliciously messy!
Some other popular BeaverTail options include:
- Apple Pie
- Pistach-OH
- The Classic (sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar)
- Strawberry Cheesecake
- Bananarama
It was also interesting to notice they serve more products than just Beavertails. They also offer savory items like poutine, BeaverDogs (hot dogs wrapped in their signature pastry) and French fries.
This was a highlight of our day in Niagara Falls and we’re confident it will be for yours as well so don’t forget to stop in for a treat while you’re here.
They also offer delivery through Skip The Dishes, Uber Eats and DoorDash.
